Stride Secure was born in the custom forge of a master farrier and the heart of a dedicated rider.

Our Founders, Atlee & Ashley Miller: Atlee, a professional farrier, and Ashley, a horse enthusiast and rider since childhood, share a love for horses. In their farrier business, they are dedicated to contributing to the health and well-being of every horse.

With decades of shoeing experience, Atlee knows that a horse’s health is impacted by the hoof. His invention of The ShoeShieldTM was inspired by his work with horses and their owners. He was determined to solve the common shoe-throwing problem during turnout.

Atlee didn’t want to offer just another bell boot. He wanted to make a bell boot that would be easy for owners to use, be comfortable for the horse, be durable, and keep the shoes on.

“In addition I really like how secure the Velcro closure is with an additional piece that covers and protects the Velcro from the mud. They are so sturdy, yet not stiff. They haven’t caused any rub marks.

The only part of the boot that is a bit challenging to work with are “loops” that you thread the extra strap through to hold it down. I do not personally have a problem with it, but some barn hands don’t like to take the extra couple of seconds to thread the loop.

I’d highly recommend the Stride secure turnout boot. 

All in all I would give these turnout bell boots 4.9 stars out of 5.”
